Yesterday was quiet possibly the most scared I have been so far in this "journey". Kaleb had a very rough day, his lungs sounded terrible, he had tons of seizures and so much gunk foaming out of his mouth all day. His normal temperature is about 97.6 and he made it to about 98.5, still not too bad, but his breathing was coming at a short, fast pace so we had to put him on oxygen. I gave him some motrin and an extra dose of seizure med's and he seemed to do ok for a little while, but it started again at bed time. We called our on-call hopsice number and had a nurse come out, she said his lungs sounded clear and that it was probably just a little bug or something - but that did not reassure me. I put the oxygen tubing around us so that I could hold him in my arms and he made little moaning noises, not the good kind, and he just kept looking at me like "mommy please do something" and I felt so helpless. His breathing finally returned to normal and he eventually fell asleep and had a pretty good night, considering and today - he was his normal self again. So hopefully, whatever it was, is gone!
